Speedy" loses his job as a soda-jerk, then spends the day with his girl at Coney Island. He then becomes a cab driver and delivers Babe Ruth to Yankee Stadium, where he stays to see the game. When the railroad tries to run the last horse-drawn trolley (operated by his girl's grandfather) out of business, "Speedy" organizes the neighborhood oldtimers to thwart their scheme.。When their mum disappears, Tiana, Tionne, and Tanika fight to hide the truth from the outside world in order to stay together as a family. As Tiana struggles to keep their regular lives afloat, Tionne displaces his grief and Tanika tries to convince her teacher to adopt them, chaos erupts when their mum’s hapless drug dealer, Dr Feelgood, moves in.。根据上海浦东新区民办学校鲁冰花希望小学的创始人刘菊和其已故丈夫黄家胜的真实事迹改编而成。影片讲述了上海郊区残疾教师晶雪举办义务辅导班，以殷殷师爱帮助地震灾区儿童走出心理阴影，帮助来自农民工家庭的学生成为“世博小使者”的故事。。
