The screenplay was also written by the brothers and it differs from the book. The less you know about the movie the better starting point you have. The film is based largely on the mystery of what's happening to the people of Dead Mountaineer's Hotel. Is everything what it seems? Who's dead or who's not?。该剧讲述了抗日战争时期，以柳敬春为首的各路有志之士与日方斗智斗勇、不惜牺牲性命保家卫国的故事。。在天宫负责编织彩云的织女（郭羡妮饰）为了给王母娘娘贺寿而到凡间寻找编织布匹的颜色。被织女取去颜色后的农田枯萎失收，农夫黄阿牛（温兆伦饰）无法缴租。织女为此非常内疚。织女的好友喜鹊（唐宁饰）为帮助黄阿牛，而私自动用了财神比干（欧锦棠饰）库房的财帛来帮助他。比干发现后告上天庭，王母扣除喜鹊的功德珠，喜鹊从此与比干为敌。在凡间，织女对黄阿牛日渐生情，芳心暗许。然而此事被王母发现，急召织女返回天庭。宠爱织女的王母，更不惜有意令黄阿牛失忆，洗去与织女所有幸福甜蜜的记忆。 由香港无线电视台推出，根据中国古代民间故事牛郎织女改编而成的20集电视剧《牛郎织女》，由温兆伦、郭羡妮携手演绎这段千古佳话。。
