楠鄉高中，一所位於苗栗鄉間的技職學校，有一群各有個性但都熱愛籃球的女孩們，只是有限的資源及球技，讓她們不敢多做妄想，一如對自己的人生。直到有一天，據說將有一名從甲級球隊轉學到楠鄉就讀的學生，讓她們突然萌生挑戰甲級，甚至進入八強前進小巨蛋的期望……。女孩們想的是籃球，但大人們就不同了。校長與主任希望藉著戰績拉抬學校的知名度與招生率，家長們則各有不同，有的希望女兒因此能上一所好大學，有的則認為與其空想不如放棄打球腳踏實地，連教練都被挖出不堪的過往。這支第一次決定要打甲級的技職學校球隊，怎樣面對有企業支持、資源雄厚的對手，怎樣熬過先、後天條件較差的體能與技術，怎樣無懼外在不被看好的眼光，怎樣克服內在怯懦的心魔，打出屬於自己的熱血青春？。Misrepresented, maligned and on the verge of extinction, the great white shark is an iconic predator: the creature we love to fear.
